Creating a garden on a green roof means building a landscape where none was meant to be. At Four Seasons in Madrid, Álvaro Sampedro designed a garden in the sky, planted with olive trees and hedging and considered one of the best rooftop gardens in the city. Pergolas and fountains work together to reduce external noise, so that the space feels sheltered and calm despite its position above the city.
